Oggi vi parlo di una delle palette (un’altra) che ho acquistato di recente: si tratta della proposta estiva Riviera di Anastasia Beverly Hills che mi ha davvero conquistata. Infatti, come avrete visto su Instagram, ho condiviso davvero tanti scatti con il make up realizzato proprio miscelando le nuance di questa palette. Ma, bando le ciance, passiamo alla mia opinione sulla palette Riviera di ABH!
Today I am talking about a palette (another) that I recently bought: it is the summer’s palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills. I’ve shared on Instagram a lot of pics with make-up created with this palette. But, let’s stop talking, let’s move on to discover my opinion on ABH’s Riviera palette!
Iniziamo parlando del packaging e vi posso dire che le linee orizzontali bianche e blu mi fanno subito pensare al mare: non c’è niente da fare, è sempre una parte di me e in questo caso trovo davvero giusta la scelta di questo tema. Ad impreziosire, il tutto poi è la scritta di colore oro per il nome ed il brand. Ad ogni modo, mi sono informata ed ho letto che in realtà il pack si rifà ad una borsa Chanel che Anastasia utilizza per le sue vacanze.
Non appena l’aprite potrete notare il pratico specchietto ed il pennello a doppia punta che vi consente di stendere gli ombretti: io alcune volte utilizzo anche le dita, specie per le nuance con glitter giacché reputo che vi sia più precisione e meno prodotto che si riversa sulla pelle.
Let’s start talking about the packaging and I can tell you that the white and blue horizontal lines make me immediately think of the sea: there is nothing to do, it is always a part of me and in this case I find the choice of this theme really right. On the pack there is in gold color the name and the brand. However, I inquired and I read that the pack actually refers to a Chanel bag that Anastasia uses for her holidays.
As soon as you open it you will notice the practical maxi mirror and the duo-brush that allows you to apply the eyeshadows: sometimes I also use my fingers, especially for the nuances with glitter as I believe that there is more precision and less fall-out on my skin.
Parlando dei colori, la palette contiene ben 14 colori, di cui ombretti ed altri 3 pigmenti pressati (Bahamas, Cannes e Palm) – tant’è vero che quando aprite il prodotto al suo interno trovate delle avvertenze circa il non usare alcuni colori troppo vicino all’attaccatura delle ciglia. Io posso dirvi che alcuni colori – come Bahamas (con sotto una base di un ombretto) l’ho utilizzato e non mi ha dato alcun fastidio, ma penso che sia soggettivo!
Ad ogni modo, ogni singolo ombretto ha una texture che è stata studiata appositamente e ci sono diversi finish, dall’opaco sino al metallizzato, con un solo satinato. Qui di seguito ecco la lista dei colori:
The palette contains 14 colors, of which eye shadows and 3 other pressed pigments (Bahamas, Cannes and Palm) – when you open the product inside you find warnings about not using some colors too close at the lash line. I can tell you that I used some colors – like the Bahamas (with another base color) – and it didn’t bother me, but I think the effect can be different of the skin of the other people.
However, every single eye shadow has a texture that has been specially designed and there are different finishes, from matte to metallic, with a single satin finish. Below you can read all colors:
- Sails: bianco opaco/ white (matte)
- Yacht: bronzo chiaro con riflessi oro/Light bronze with gold reflections
- Seychelles: verde acqua shimmer/ green water (shimmer)
- Palermo: rosa vivo shimmer (shimmer)/Bright pink (shimmer)
- Seadise: lavanda shimmer/lavander shimmer
- Inheritance: oro giallo shimmer/gold yellow (shimmer)
- Mediterranean: blu cobalto con riflessi argento shimmer/cobalt blue with silver reflections
- Estate: pesca chiaro/Light peach
- Cabana: senape opaco/mustard (matte)
- Coastline: pesca opaco/peach (matte)
- Bahamas: fucsia opaco/Bright fuchsia (matte)
- Monte Carlo: rosa corallo opaco/coral pink (matte)
- Cannes: viola opaco/violet (matte)
- Palm: marrone opaco/brown (matte)
I colori metallizzati si presentano con un texture abbastanza cremosa e si applicano facilmente, utilizzando la punta di un dito. Anche il resto degli ombretti si lavorano bene e si fondono insieme sfumando con un pennello. Nel complesso posso dirvi che si tratta di una palette consigliata assolutamente per tutte quelle persone che non sanno resistere ai colori vivi ed intensi dell’estate: quindi, se desiderate realizzare make up ad alto impatto, questa palette fa proprio al caso vostro. Al contrario, non la suggerisco a chi è abituato a trucchi più sobri e meno estrosi. A me piace (come avrete già capito). Metallized colors have a creamy texture and are easily applied using the tip of a finger. Even the rest of the eyeshadows work well and blend together with a brush. I can tell you that this is an absolutely recommended palette for all those people who can’t resist the bright and intense colors of summer: so, if you want to make high-impact make-up, this palette is just for you! I don’t suggest it to those who are used to do more sober and less make-up. I love it! If you want to buy the palette, you can find it at Sephora at the Manor for 69.90 CHF and in Italy 49 €.
